Membership is open to all foster carers registered with Leeds City Council, whether they be mainstream or kinship, they automatically become members upon being approved as a carer.
All of our members can access fostering information and advice via our exclusive facebook group, email updates, regular foster carer drop-in sessions and support groups.
Our telephone helpline is available to members, dealing with general calls during normal business hours to offer out of hours support when social care offices are closed. Our members are able to call for advice and support when needed, providing a triarge service during out of office hours prior to escalating a case to the Emergency Duty Team if necessary.
As a member you can join our free mailing list to receive regular updates of our events, training and fostering related news.
We can also provide our members with more specific advice, help and support when needed. From general fostering issues to more serious cases involving allegations and during investigations.
Through our positive working relationships we are able to work towards a constructive resolution between all those involved, regularly advocating on the members' behalf.
Our facebook group is EXCLUSIVE to our members and is a great place to keep up to date with current fostering news, information and advice.
It has become a vital resource for members during lockdown, helping carers from across the Leeds fostering community to connect, share their stories and celebrate achievements of our carers and their young people.
We ask members to pay a small voluntary annual subscription, which is then fully re-invested back into the support services we provide.
