About us

About Us

We have been supporting fostering households across the Leeds city region since our formation way back in 1978, that's over forty years and counting!

Today

Since our formation, and through the hard work and dedication of our committee The Leeds Foster Care Association has grown to become one of the largest and longest established fostering associations in the UK.

Working together

We work constructively with our service partners, including those in local authority social care, other foster care organisations, local and national government agencies as well trade unions and training providers.

If you are a business or organisation who would like to support our organisation, and the work we do across the fostering communities in Leeds, then please do get intouch.

We would love hearing from you.

Since 1978

The fostering landscape has changed immensley in that time, and today we represent across the fostering community whether they be mainstream or kinship foster carers.

Proudly Independent

As an independent voluntary organisation we rely soley upon the voluntary contributions from our members, our own fundraising activities, as well as grants and donations from our working partnerships, organisations and local businesses.

Help & Advice

We are here to support, advise and advocate for our members in any fostering related issues and take forward their views and recommendations at meetings, and with working parties at both local and national level.

See our Support page for further information on the various ways our members can access the help and support available.
